The Performance P33i floor standing speakers are the ultimate speaker in the Whatmough Performance series. They are designed and built to audiophile standards and deliver truly spectacular sound. Cabinetry
The Performance P33i features a striking timber cabinet. These beautifully engineered cabinets are a bass reflex front ported configuration featuring 25mm thick solid MDF timber walls. Two stunning finishes are available, real timber (Bubinga) veneer or a gloss metallic graphite paint. The cabinets are also extensively braced and internally chambered to prevent unwanted audio interactions. These curved cabinets don't just look stylish, they are also highly functional and help to increase rigidity and prevent undesirable internal standing waves. These features in combination with carefully selected and installed acoustic dampening material are one of the keys to the Performance P33i's incredible sound.

Drivers
The Performance P33i is a three-way bass reflex design that utilises a 35mm dual concentric diaphragm tweeter with a wave guided centre plug. With an extended frequency response beyond 40kHz, a full octave above most conventional dome tweeters, the result is a silky smooth tone that is the hallmark of the entire Performance range. A 100mm cellulose fibre midrange driver enhances sonic clarity and tonal accuracy, particularly around vocals. The Performance P33i uses two 6.5 bass drivers that feature a 33mm high temperature voice coil and a large double magnet system to ensure stunning dynamics and bass response.

Crossover Network
Our no compromise approach has been applied to the crossover network found in the P33i loudspeaker. High quality polypropylene film capacitors housed in a non-magnetic case with pure copper soldered lead-out wires and air-cored coils feature throughout. Each crossover is meticulously point-to-point hard wired to ensure you enjoy cleaner, more accurate, music and the maximum excitement from home cinema.

Binding Posts
The Performance P33i loudspeaker features a tri-wireable array of high quality binding posts that can accommodate banana plug, spade or bare wire connections. For best performance we always recommend running the Performance P33i in tri-wire or tri-amped configuration.
