Volumio Primo V2 Network Music Streamer & DAC

Primo V2 is Volumio’s previous-generation network streamer and DAC, combining ESS 9038Q2M conversion, fixed RCA and balanced XLR outputs and the full Volumio streaming platform in a compact chassis.

Primo V2 remains useful where the system needs a complete streamer/DAC rather than a digital transport. Its ESS converter feeds both RCA and balanced XLR, while USB output can hand streaming duties to a separate DAC later.

The current Australian range carries V2 alongside V3 at a lower promotional price. That makes it the value option for customers who do not need V3’s selectable output levels, new DAC, NOS mode or higher analogue resolution.

RCA output is fixed at 2V RMS and balanced XLR at 4V RMS, with analogue playback up to PCM 192kHz/24-bit. USB output allows a compatible external DAC to handle higher-resolution conversion.

The Volumio platform handles major streaming services, internet radio, local storage and network libraries from the app or browser. Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi provide flexible network installation.

V2 or V3

Choose on system needs, not generation alone

V3 adds the ES9039Q2M DAC, Cortex-A72 processing, selectable analogue levels, NOS mode and higher-resolution analogue output. V2 is still attractive when the simpler fixed-output architecture already fits the amplifier.
