If the Tivoli Model One has always been a little over-performer, offering a surprisingly great sound from a compact case, then the Tivoli Audio Music System+  takes this equation to the logical conclusion. Being the perfectionists that they are, they have done much more than just delivering amazing performance. Easy to use but extremely sophisticated on the inside, the Tivoli Audio Music System+ is the last player you’ll ever need. With the versatility to play CDs, FM and DAB+ radio with excellent fidelity, this system could replace an abundance of outdated products. With Bluetooth capabilities to add to its long list of features, simply connect and play your digital music library from an iPod, iPhone or other devices.

Sound Quality

You can attribute much of the sound quality to the solid construction, including the trade mark furniture grade wood cabinet. Think of the Tivoli Audio Music System as a loudspeaker and it starts to make sense – you have two carefully chosen drivers – including a down firing, magnetically shielded powered subwoofer, housed in an optimised, solid and well damped enclosure. A self-adjusting lighted display provides the time and audio track information. 

It has one of the finest tuners available at any price. Of course for those who can receive digital radio, then the built-in DAB+ tuner wiil be a true delight with both all the favourites plus a host of new stations like Koffee and even Coles radio which if you can put up with their adverts isn't half bad! The ABC have also done well and added new digitally exclusive stations like Grandstand. Basically, all your favourite AM stations sound a lot better. While it is no surprise that the radio reception is their best yet, the CD playing part is also considerably better than one would imagine from something like the Music System +. In fact, there are few things like the Tivoli Music System!  And the little remote control manages to be both cute and easy to use with all the most needed features included.

Enjoy All Your Music: With the addition of Bluetooth wireless technology, when you’re not listening to the Music System's radio tuner, you can listen to the music stored on your Bluetooth wireless technology compatible device. You’ll (hopefully) never tire of hearing your music thanks to Bluetooth wireless technology’s advanced A2DP profile, combined with Tivoli Audio's trademark equalisation. And since Bluetooth wireless technology is of course "wireless", you won’t have to dig out an audio cable for your enabled-device every time you want to listen to your music. To get started, simply switch to the Auxiliary position and after initial pairing, start listening to your favourite music wirelessly. It’s that simple. But don’t worry, the Auxiliary input is still on board, along with the Record and Headphone outputs, so you can continue to connect those “old fashioned” wired devices like the iPod!

Radio Reception: With good reception, radio stations come in loud and gorgeously clear! This product provides very good sound quality and it has the ability to pick up more stations than typical table top radios but this is totally dependant on the signal strength where you are listening. Performance depends on many factors. If the radio performance is critical, then before purchasing, please read this article on what you need to do to hear your favourite radio station. However, this is where Bluetooth can be useful as you can 'stream' from your smart device.

Our Take On The Tivoli Audio Music System+

As long time Tivoli Audio users – one staff member has 2 PALs, a PAL+ with DAB+and a Model One BT around his house – the Music System+ looks hugely tempting and if we had more of them in stock then I’m sure one would find it’s way to his home. But don’t think that we see it as just a secondary system or compromise. If we tried to put together a selection of separates to do the same things for a similar price, we can’t even come close. In fact, if you want something very good for your office, or are lucky enough to have a holiday home somewhere, the Tivoli Music System with DAB+ Radio and Bluetooth is ideal. The design is the finishing touch. The solidly built real wood cabinet offers classic looks and impressively clean sound. Plus, the simple timber colours complement any decor.
