Description

SVS SoundPath Mono Subwoofer Interconnect Cable

The SVS SoundPath Mono Subwoofer Interconnect Cable is a single RCA-to-RCA audio cable designed for subwoofer, LFE and other line-level connections, using 99.99% OFC copper conductors, five-layer shielding and 24K gold-plated brass connectors to provide a secure, low-noise connection across short or long cable runs.

Available in lengths from 1 metre to 12 metres in the Australian range, it is a practical choice when a subwoofer needs to sit away from the AV receiver or when an installation requires a well-shielded RCA run through cabinetry, behind furniture or around a room perimeter.

Built for Subwoofer and Line-Level Connections

Single RCA cable for LFE and compatible analogue audio

This is a mono RCA interconnect, supplied as a single cable. In a typical home theatre system, one cable runs from the AV receiver or processor's subwoofer/LFE output to a line-level input on the powered subwoofer.

The same construction can also be used for other compatible single-channel RCA line-level connections. For conventional left/right stereo analogue connections, you would normally need two matching cables or a dedicated stereo RCA pair.

99.99% OFC Copper Conductors

Low-resistance signal path without exaggerated cable claims

The cable uses dual balanced conductors made from 14 strands of 99.99% oxygen-free copper, with each conductor individually isolated in its own HDPE dielectric jacket. The goal is straightforward: maintain a stable line-level signal while keeping conductor resistance and capacitance predictable over the length of the run.

Five-Layer Isolation System

Designed to reject electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference

A subwoofer cable often runs close to mains leads, powerboards, equipment racks and other sources of electrical noise. SVS uses a five-layer dielectric and shielding structure that combines HDPE, PVC, PET Mylar, aluminium foil and a 56-strand tinned-copper shield to help reduce unwanted RF and electromagnetic interference.

The outer cotton-braided jacket adds physical protection and makes the cable easier to grip and route without relying on a stiff outer sheath.

24K Gold-Plated RCA Connectors

Firm mechanical connection and corrosion-resistant contact surfaces

The RCA plugs use gold-plated brass centre pins and split grounding bodies inside machined aluminium shells. Lead-free soldered terminations provide a fixed electrical connection between the cable and plug assembly.

The benefit here is mainly durability and connection stability. A properly fitted RCA plug should remain secure at the receiver and subwoofer without becoming loose during normal use or installation work.

Useful Lengths for Real Installations

From equipment-rack connections to across-room subwoofer placement

The Australian range includes 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m, 8m and 12m lengths. Choosing enough cable to follow the actual routing path is important. Measure around cabinetry, corners and vertical drops rather than using a straight-line distance between components.

For subwoofer placement, a little extra cable is usually preferable to a run that is stretched tight or forces the subwoofer into a poor acoustic position.

Important Notes

  • This product is a single mono RCA cable, not a stereo pair.
  • For a standard AV receiver-to-subwoofer connection, one cable is normally all that is required.
  • Measure the intended routing path before choosing a length, including furniture, cabinetry and vertical drops.
  • Cable construction can help maintain signal integrity and reduce interference, but it does not replace correct system grounding or good equipment setup.

The Audio Experts Take

This is the sort of cable we like for subwoofer installs because it solves the practical problems without turning cable into mythology. The shielding is substantial, the plugs are solid, and the length options cover everything from a nearby equipment rack to a subwoofer positioned on the other side of the room.

For most systems, the main buying decision is simply length. Choose enough cable to reach the best subwoofer position cleanly without stretching the run or forcing it alongside power cables for longer than necessary. If you are planning an in-wall or custom-install run, talk to us first so we can make sure the cable route and termination approach suit the room.
