The MP-150 moves the Nagaoka MP range to a superfine polished elliptical diamond on a hardened tapered aluminium-alloy cantilever, giving it greater groove-tracing ability than the conical entry model while retaining easy MM-style loading.

This is a cartridge upgrade where setup matters. Correct overhang, alignment, tracking force and phono-stage loading are all part of getting the result the cartridge is capable of delivering.

Cartridge Design

The MP generator, Samarium Cobalt magnet and anti-ferromagnetic shielding are aimed at clean tracking and stable output without requiring a moving-coil phono stage.

System Matching and Setup

Use the manufacturer's recommended tracking-force range and a standard 47kΩ phono input where specified. Tonearm effective mass, headshell weight and available counterweight range should also be checked before installation.
