IsoTek EVO3 Elite ANZ Power Cable

The IsoTek EVO3 Elite is a shielded mains power cable for compatible hi-fi and home theatre equipment, using seven silver-plated high-purity copper conductors, FEP insulation and an oxygen-free copper braid to help manage electrical interference.

The Elite sits above simpler power-cable designs in the IsoTek range, with a substantial 15mm outer diameter and a conductor arrangement intended for reliable power delivery and rejection of radio-frequency and electromagnetic interference. It is an option for sources, DACs, preamplifiers, music servers and appropriately rated power amplifiers where a detachable mains cable can be used.

Seven-Conductor Construction

Designed around a dedicated central earth conductor

The cable has six 1.25mm² conductors arranged around one 3.75mm² conductor. The silver-plated 99.9999% oxygen-free copper strands use a lightly twisted arrangement. This construction, together with the shielding, is intended to help reject interference picked up along the mains cable run.

FEP Insulation and Shielding

Practical materials for a mains cable

Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) provides the conductor insulation, while cotton filling supports the internal structure. A Mylar barrier and oxygen-free copper braided shield surround the conductors, with a flexible PVC outer jacket providing mechanical protection.

These are construction and interference-management features, rather than a guarantee of a particular audible improvement. The result in any system depends on the equipment, its power supply and the surrounding electrical environment.

IsoTek offers the EVO3 Elite range with equipment-end connector configurations including C7, C15 and C19. These are not interchangeable: the connector must match the equipment's inlet and electrical requirements. The TAE options on this page are currently organised by length, so confirm the correct termination before ordering.

The Australian/New Zealand version is intended for compatible local mains connections. Do not substitute a different connector or use an adaptor merely to force a fit. For equipment requiring a particular connector shape, temperature rating or current capacity, check the manufacturer's requirements.

Choosing the Right Length

Allow space for routing and the 15mm cable diameter

Measure the actual path from the power outlet or power-conditioning unit to the component, allowing for rack depth, cable bends and access for servicing. The Elite is a substantial cable and should not be forced into tight bends behind equipment. Avoid running it where it could be pinched by furniture or placed under mechanical strain.
