The GoldenEar SuperSub X is a compact high-performance powered subwoofer built for customers who want serious low-frequency output without giving up half the room to a giant box. It is an ultra-compact design just a little bigger than a 12.5-inch cube, built around a patented dual-plane inertially-balanced driver array with two horizontally-opposed 8-inch ultra-long-throw active drivers and two vertically-opposed 10.5 x 9.5-inch planar back-wave-driven radiators .

The SuperSub X is driven by a 1400 watt Class D digital amplifier , with pressure-coupled loading and DSP control intended to deliver very deep bass from a compact enclosure.
