Well USB is a bit perfect protocol so you pay for audio grade cable to manage RF injection, DC coupling and ground loops issues Analysis Plus PURE SILVER USB Cable marketed with emphasis on conductivity PURE SILVE with normal shielding. Before AQ price increase CARBON and overall AQ cables which are marketed on RF noise rejection and decimation and well engineered shielding probably were better choice. Personally I could not detect any difference bw AP and AQ Carbon LOL and Carbon feels a bit more solid cable but now Carbon is almost twice the price of AP LOL. It all depends on your specifics gear compatibility and coupling and where cable is used. It works for me and I am happy with the cable
