Hegel H95 Integrated Amplifier

The Hegel H95 offers both Spotify Connect, a far more stable UPnP connection as well as upcoming updates making this unit AirPlay2 compatible.  The quality of the onboard DAC has been radically improved by using the the same DAC as the H120 and the H190.  A massive step up from the H90.  The result for this upgrade offers smoother, more precise and more dynamic sound.  While it is already an upgrade when using analogue, it is a completely different animal when it comes to digital.

H95 has the same menu system as its bigger brothers. Meaning you can software update it over internet and via the on-screen menu. This will enable the H95 to last for years and years.  You can also enter the menu to see its IP address and other information.  All inputs are individually configurable so you can set them as a home theatre bypass input.
Another popular feature is the ability to set a maximum volume level individually for the headphone output and the speaker output. You can also customize the start-up volume for when the unit is powered up. This must be done with a RC8 remote (not included).
The damping factor is up to 20 times higher than the industry average.  Ensuring a dynamic and powerful bass response, even on large floor standing speakers.
The Hegel H90 is designed simply, making it a perfect stand-alone unit.  Connect your TV, cable decoder, phono stage or phones.  Then finally just add a pair of speakers and you are on your way !

Finally, the New H95 will wake up from standby on LAN which means when the unit is off, you can still select it in spotify, AirPlay etc. and get it to wake up.

Review by Stereo.net (UK)

"Hegel’s entry-level amplifier has just got quite a lot better. Of course, the new H95 is not a universal panacea – the answer to everyone’s problems – yet it still gets an awful lot very right at its price. The lovely build quality and ergonomics of its pricier siblings come as standard, alongside the benefits of wide connectivity and decent speaker driving ability. Most importantly though, across all inputs, it is genuinely pleasing to listen to – which for me is what really counts in large amounts."
