Hegel H95 Integrated Amplifier
The Hegel H95 offers both Spotify Connect, a far more stable UPnP connection as well as upcoming updates making this unit AirPlay2 compatible. The quality of the onboard DAC has been radically improved by using the the same DAC as the H120 and the H190. A massive step up from the H90. The result for this upgrade offers smoother, more precise and more dynamic sound. While it is already an upgrade when using analogue, it is a completely different animal when it comes to digital.
Finally, the New H95 will wake up from standby on LAN which means when the unit is off, you can still select it in spotify, AirPlay etc. and get it to wake up.
Review by Stereo.net (UK)
"Hegel’s entry-level amplifier has just got quite a lot better. Of course, the new H95 is not a universal panacea – the answer to everyone’s problems – yet it still gets an awful lot very right at its price. The lovely build quality and ergonomics of its pricier siblings come as standard, alongside the benefits of wide connectivity and decent speaker driving ability. Most importantly though, across all inputs, it is genuinely pleasing to listen to – which for me is what really counts in large amounts."
